Mays Harvestmoon, the one to beat in Carling Stayers at Yarmouth

Mays Harvestmoon?s ability to perform well in various conditions is unquestionable. The white and black dog has done well at different venues in the recent past, and is full of confidence these days.

He is coming off a comprehensive win at Peterborough, where he demonstrated a splendid show in a 605 metres race. F. Lenton?s trainee was so impressive that it became impossible for the rest of the crew to catch him. Following an excellent effort, the son of Last Bid ensured the top rank by 1? lengths.

After such a convincing triumph, the dashing hound is full of confidence. Moreover, he recently made a wonderful solo outing over 659 metres, stopping the clock in 40.73 seconds.

A new track will be no issue for Mays Harvestmoon, who can easily dominate the proceedings in the Carling Stayers, being held at Yarmouth on Wednesday, August 15th.

Other hounds in the pack are: Balmi Blue, Banba The Face, Carden Twilight, Aclamon Tracey and Droopys Trump. The ?175 meeting is going to be kicked off at 20:57 GMT.

Balmi Blue is the centre of attention at the moment. The blue dog boasts a very strong profile, and will be able to attract plenty of punters tonight. However, one must think twice before trusting him blindly. D. Mullins? trainee is not in fine fettle these days, as he was not impressive on his previous three outings.

Banba The Face was runner-up behind Blackrose Nelson in her last appearance. Victories are not coming to her way these days, but the black bitch will be in the mix, if she delivers one hundred percent.

Carden Twilight?s previous two poor performances are enough to suggest that he will be struggling tonight. Droopys Trump recently made a couple of fine solo outings, but still no one should support him against the likes of Balmi Blue and Mays Harvestmoon. Stepping up to this class is a major concern for Aclamon Tracey.

A close contest between Balmi Blue and Mays Harvestmoon is on the cards. The latter has a brilliant win under his belt, and should be preferred. Good luck to all the runners.
